Bongkojthip ‘Bua’ Bhirombhakdi (b.1990) is a Thai abstract expressionist painter based in Bangkok Thailand, her paintings draw from natural landscapes from her imagination through an abstract lens. Her intuitive works feature layered washes and a variety of textures, creating movement and emotion through bold pigments. Bua enjoys experimenting and challenging new ways of expression through technique, each piece reflects a specific personal moment in time.

She’s always been passionated about nature and its landscapes. They really do heal her soul, especially when something is troubling her mind. Most of the paintings were inspired from her imaginary scenes - exploring the imaginative world within her own mind.

When she paints, she feels like she gets to travel and experience that type of scenery… getting lost in her own imagination. Thinking about those spaces leaves such a peaceful feeling in her heart.
